Dr. Samantha Bryans
BS Public Health, MS Public Health, EdD Curriculum & Instruction
My name is Dr. Samantha Bryans, and I am one of the editors at InspirED, LLC. Over the past five years, I have served as an adjunct professor for Minot State University, an online instructor for Capella University's writing department, a writing tutor, and APA webinar presenter for Capella University, and recently started InspirED, LLC. I earned my bachelor's degree in Public Health from the University of Nevada, Reno, focusing on research and statistics. I completed my master's degree in Public Health from Capella University, focusing on social and behavioral health, finishing my thesis at Trinity Health's Infectious Disease Unit. After completing my dissertation titled "The Impact of Dual Enrollment on College Readiness" at Bishop Ryan Catholic School, I earned my doctorate in Education specializing in Curriculum & Instruction.
After serving as a writing coach, instructor, and presenter since 2018, I developed a profound passion for academic writing and quality research. I conducted action research monographs, program evaluations, and appreciative inquiry throughout my education and professional experience. I believe that knowledge is power and that the root of that power dwells in education's intricate fabric, a fabric that is rich in logic, grammar, and rhetoric. My goal is to help students from all backgrounds strengthen their academic writing and research skills as they move closer to their academic, personal, and professional goals.
Dr. Audra Myerchin
BA Communication, MA Communication, & Ph.D Teaching & Learning
Greetings! My name is Dr. Audra Myerchin, and I am one of the editors at InspirED, LLC. My career in academia spans close to 18 years as I started as a graduate teaching assistant in 2002 while completing my Master of Arts in communication. In 2006, I began as a full-time faculty member at Minot State University in the Communication Arts Department. I have taught students in a variety of disciplines, including broadcasting, communication & public relations. In 2015, I transferred to the College of Business and taught marketing for two years. Since 2017, I continue to teach graduate marketing courses at MSU & adjunct for Southern Oregon University in communication. I completed my Ph.D. in Teaching & Learning in 2012 at the University of North Dakota.
After moving from North Dakota to Southern Oregon in 2016, I couldn’t imagine giving up my work with students; I am a perpetual learner and teacher. Thus, I have continued to adjunct and advise students in all areas of education. I am passionate about being of service to students in whatever way possible. My lengthy career in higher education makes this a perfect fit for me. I’ve been involved in research, conference presentations, academic journal editing, and paper reviewing for so long, it’s all become second nature to me. I enjoy being part of the writing and research process which makes each paper or project unique to each student and that is of the utmost importance to me! Helping students formulate and reach their academic and professional goals through strong research and writing is paramount to our work at InspirED.
